The Crusaders first brought professional soccer to Cape Cod in 1993 with the goal of providing cape cod residents and visitors the opportunity to see quality soccer in a friendly and affordable setting. The Crusaders are the reigning PDL National Champions. Over the past decade, the team has entertained thousands of fans at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High school. An exciting regular season schedule is complimented by special events including matches with Major League Soccer Teams, the U.S. Open Cup, and international exhibition games.
As emphasis on player development has had a great deal to do with the club’s success on and off the field. The Crusaders have assisted many young players in advancing their playing careers in both the United States and in Europe. Although many former Crusaders have experienced considerable success in professional soccer, the team’s most notable alum may now be former goalkeeper, Ethan Zohn. Ethan’s own field accomplishments have been overshadowed by is role as the “Survivor” from the reality based television show “ Survivor 3: Africa”
Throughout the year, the Crusaders also conduct a series of camps and clinics for children aged 4-18. Head Coach Methembe Ndlovu, with an elite coaching staff brought in from around the world, operate an extensive training program designed to develop technical skills in a fun-filled environment.
