This is a resident only beach and requires a residential sticker to park and access the beach. Unlike most Cape Cod Beaches, there is a good amount of sand away from the waters edge. The water is relatively calm and warm but can see a moderate amount of seaweed at times.

Windmill Beach gets its name from the historic windmill nearby. This is a smaller beach which is practically non-existent during high tide. The sand is muddy but rich in seashells.

A long boardwalk takes you over a salt marsh to the beach. Bass Hole (aka Grays Beach) is a great spot to explore wildlife and let kids be kids. Low tide draws out much of the water leaving behind calm tide pools for the youngest of beach-goers to splash around in.
